Michael Eugene Callahan

Michael Eugene Callahan, age 71, passed away on Sunday February 13, 2022, in Florida. He was born on September 10, 1950, in Miamisburg, OH to the late Edwin and Roberta (Edwards) Callahan. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Callahan, whom he married in Clintwood, Virginia, on March 14, 1970, kids; Robert (Andra) Bayles, Tania (Brian) Wedderspoon, Michael (Cheryl) Callahan, Jason (Judy) Callahan, Shasta (Stonie) Sessler, siblings; Gerry Wicker, Pat Callahan, Vickie Wells, 22 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Roberta Callahan.

Michael graduated from Elgin High School in 1970, and then went to the Army from 1971-1973. He started working at Central Soya from 1970-1985 then went to Honda of America from 1985 to retirement in 2009. He was a member of the American Legion Post 584, and Moose Lodge #889. His hobbies included traveling in his RV, seeing the country and national parks, enjoyed bowling, softball, coaching, umpiring, and horseback riding, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 22, 2022, at Edwards Funeral Service 318 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH, 43302 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held the next day on Wednesday February 23, 2022, at the funeral home starting at 9:00 AM, where Military Honors will be held. After the service a meal will be held at 1130 at Legion 584, address 142 Olney Ave., Marion, OH 43302.
