Willie Edward Brown

Willie “Hook” Edward Brown left this earth for his eternal resting place on June 21, 2021, in his home.  He was born October 20, 1943, to the late Valley and Odean Brown in Leland, Mississippi. He was baptized in Leland by Reverend B.B. Bryant.

In 1997 Willie relocated for the final time to make Marion, Ohio his permanent residence.  He was a hard worker and was employed at several companies in Leland, Mississippi and Marion, Ohio. Those companies include, Leland Gin & Delint, Greenville Gravel Company and Quaker Oats.

“Hook” loved life, his family and friends very much.  His comedic personality and his caring heart were part of his charm.  He told the best stories and always put a smile on everyone’s face.  He never knew a stranger and once you encountered him, you would never forget him.
Willie “Hook” Brown will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by siblings Bertha Barber, Odell Brown, Cleo Brown, Roy Brown, Lewis Brown, niece, Brenda Deas and daughter Judith Sanders.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: 1 sister, Doretha Douglas of Indianapolis, Indiana; 1 brother, Valley (Willie B) Brown, Jr. of Greenville, Mississippi; Special daughters Jessica Frazier, Mary Frazier-Walker, Linda Peterson, Sentha Frazier-Hayes, 1 granddaughter, Precious Ferguson, special friends, Sylvester Hubbard, Keith Harris, Lamont Craig, Tony Thomas, Calvin Mopkins, Thomas Harris, Teresa Ramsey, Willie Harris, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 02, 2021 at Logos Ministries 582 Lee St., Marion, OH 43302 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A service will begin at 12:00 PM.
