Tammy Sue Russell-Weldon was born December 10, 1959, in Marion, Ohio to Larry and Nancy Higgins. She attended Marion Harding High School, where she proudly played the clarinet for the marching band. She graduated from Harding High School in 1978.
She had a warmth and a smile that made people love her. She always knew how to make you laugh even in the toughest of situations. Her kind heart reached out to animals as well. She had a knack for finding injured animals and nursing them back to health. She loved the water, whether it was a lake or an ocean but without a floatie, she couldn’t swim in a puddle.
She had a soft spot for her grandchildren. She was the fun grandma that would give them ice cream for breakfast and jump on the bed to the Shrek soundtrack. She was the life of the party and the star on the Christmas tree. Even though she was always fashionably late, the party didn’t start until she walked in.
Left to cherish her loving memory are her mother: Nancy Higgins, her grandmother: Naomi White, her three brothers: Bud Higgins, Steve Higgins, and Shawn Higgins, her four children: Matthew Russell, Angela Russell, Eric Russell, and Brittany (Kevin) Tate. Her seven grandchildren: Kaylee Alspach, Madison Russell, Mackenzie Russell, Landon Messenger, Gabriel Albright, Halle Tate, and Kalvin Tate (Her Superhero). Her eleven great grandchildren and her beloved dogs Bailey and Panda.
