Syriel G. Wood Jr., Age 76, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Monday October 18, 2021. Syriel was born in Hico, West Virginia on April 22, 1945 to the late Syriel Wood & Gladys Brackett-Wood. Syriel followed in his fathers footsteps by being a Carpenter, he loved the outdoors and his home: Hico, WVa

Syriel is survived by his children, Sons; Rick Wood (Robin), Mike Wood and a daughter; Linda Jean Sisson, Sisters; Telly Lawhun, Tydie Delong, Loretta Mason and a brother; Jimmy Wood, 26 Grand-Kids and 36 Great Grand-Kids.

Syriel is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Layton Wood, daughters; Margaret Meachum, Michelle Hall, and son; Gene Wood, two sisters; Maggie Hammons, Linda Smith and two brothers; James Wood and Jack Wood.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday October 22, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Marion Chapel, 318 Mt. Vernon Ave, Marion where visitation will begin at 10 AM until time of service. Interment Marion Cemetery.
