Steven Ray Burroughs

Steven Ray Burroughs, age 48, of Marion, Ohio, passed away October 21, 2022. He is survived by his grandfather Calvin Caldwell, mother Theresa Caldwell, wife Kristi Burroughs, son Kaelan Burroughs, daughter Isabelle Fischer, and siblings Chris (Che) Burroughs, Shawn Burroughs, and numerous other cherished family members and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his father Alfred Burroughs Jr., and other treasured family, friends, and comrades.

Steve was born November 17, 1973, and grew up in Marion, Ohio, graduating from Harding High School in 1992. Through his youth he enjoyed time with his family and friends, reading, sports and skateboarding, and creative projects. He was drawn to nature and animals, especially Upper Peninsula, Michigan.

Steve had diverse passions, and he was capable of nearly everything to which he dedicated his time. The principles of Freemasonry were a useful guide in his life. He was a skilled craftsman and knowledge seeker. Music and sound were part of his soul, and he was a skilled composer, guitar and bass player, and professional sound engineer. He was also an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Please gather with us at Edwards Funeral Services, Marion, Ohio, on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Visitation at 5:00pm (Eastern), Celebration of Life at 6:00pm, fellowship and light meal to follow until 9:00pm.
