Sophie Hand

Sophie Sylvia Hand, age 91, of Marion passed away March 23, 2015 at her home. Sophie was born in Chicago on April 21, 1923 to Thomas and Smijla (Knezevich) Pokrajac. Her husband of 51 years, Harold Hand preceded her in death as did three brothers and two sisters. She moved to Marion in 1990 and was active in her church, the Girl Scouts and PTA for many years. Surviving are her son: Thomas Hand of Columbus and her daughter; Carol (Ben) Hand of California as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Sophie's Life will be announced at a later date. Private burial has been in Claridon Cemetery.
