Sandra Smith

Sandra (Sandy) Smith, 65, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024. 

She was born on April 23, 1959 to Robert and Annie Cobb in Kenton, Ohio. She graduated from Indian Lake High School in 1977.

Sandy worked at Whirlpool for thirty-three years, and was a part of the biggest family working together at Whirlpool. She liked to cook, and is remembered fondly for her fried chicken and her broccoli and cheese soup. She had a big heart, and was a mom to all of her children’s friends. Everyone was welcome. Her kids loved spending time with her, no matter what they did. Shopping trips and car rides, always laughing, joking. There were many good memories, like her giant purse that had everything in it. She will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Annie Cobb; her husband, Larry Smith; sister, Sherry (Lowell) White; and niece, Brandy White.

Sandy is survived by her children, Barry and William (Penny) Smith; brothers Robert (Sally) Cobb, Dave (Robbie) Cobb, Rick Cobb, Jeff (Judy) Cobb, and Roger Cobb; sisters Shirl (Mike) Smeltzer and Sharon Butler; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends who were like family.
