Roy Kepley III (Trey), 37, of Marion, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2024. His sudden departure has left his family and friends in profound grief.
Born on October 11, 1986, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, Trey was the eldest of three sons to Roy and Rebecca (Jones) Kepley. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Harris) Kepley , whom he married on April 2, 2008, and their two daughters, Kailee and Kylah. Trey’s family was his greatest joy, and he cherished his role as a loving husband and father.
Trey had a strong will and a generous heart. Known affectionately by his family as “Trey Flepley,” a nickname that brought smiles and warmth, he was also lovingly remembered as “Aunt Kathie’s Clown.” His artistic talents were evident in his brief foray into tattooing, and his passion for art lives on through his daughter Kailee’s photography and Kylah’s drawings, which resemble her father’s creative spirit.
For the past five years, Trey worked as a Machinist 2 at Power Plant Services in Marion, where he was a valued employee. His role involved programming and operating machinery, and he was particularly proud of his first flight, which took him to Florida to dismantle and reassemble a machine.
Trey is survived by his wife Sandra, daughters Kailee and Kylah, his father Roy Kepley and fiancée Deanna Reed, his mother Rebecca Kepley, and his brothers Dustin (Emily) Kepley and Nathon (Christina) Kepley, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues.
A celebration of Trey’s life will be held at Kennedy Park Marion, Ohio on Saturday August 17, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
