Roscoe Clemons Jr. was born in Marion, Ohio on March 26, 1946 to the late Roscoe Clemons Sr. and Mary Louise West. He was the second oldest His younger brother Cornelius Clemons and sister Elaine Clemons Chandler preceded him in death. leaves behind his older sister Wilma Baker and youngest brother David Clemons Sr. His younger brother Cornelius Clemons and sister Elaine Clemons Chandler preceded him in death.
At the young age of 13 he met the love of his life Martha Ann Faggs and they married at the age of 18 on Janauary 8, 1966. Roscoe and Martha gave birth to their first daughter Tatia Clemons that same year, she precedes her father in death. Shortly after, Ricky and Martha gave birth to two more daughters Bobbie and Katina Clemons. Roscoe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Roscoe (Rick, Clem, Ricky) touched so many lives regardless which name you knew him by. His caring and generous personality made him loved by many. He learned to work with tools from his father, and started his own business, Clemons & Sons Construction, which he owned for over 50 years. Roscoe was the man to call if something was broken and he would be there to help fix it.
Roscoe was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors, exercising, traveling, fishing, listening to music, dancing, and watching sports. His laughter was contagious and his joking nature made others feel warm and welcomed in his presence.
Besides his loving wife, Martha Ann Clemons, he leaves behind his 2 youngest daughters Bobbie Millier Clemons and Katina (Jerelle) Clemons-Ball, 2 granddaughters Rashawnda (Jon) Clemons and Courteney Clemons, 6 grandchildren Jo'Shawn, Abrianna, Raylynn, Astrid, Ahrya, and Jerelle Jr., 2 siblings Wilma and David, brother & sister in-laws, and countless neices, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by so many.
Visitation will take place from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at Christ Missionary Baptist Church, 394 Fairview Street, Marion, where a funeral service will begin at 12 p.m.
Burial will follow in Marion Cemetery.
