Roger Eugene Napper, born August 2, 1972, in Marion, Ohio, passed away unexpectantly on January 11, 2025. He is remembered as a vibrant and outgoing individual; who made a lasting impact on the lives of those around him.
Roger was known for his adventurous spirit. Often riding his bicycle to explore the outdoors and riding out in the country to see all the deer’s. He was an ardent fan of sports, especially Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football. He also enjoyed messing around and playing a few different sports himself. His enthusiasm extended to collecting odd treasures and indulging in his favorite T.V. shows including ghost stories and documentaries on the Discovery and History channels.
Family was everything to Roger and he cherished moments spent with them and his friends. Always bringing fun and laughter to their gatherings. He had a sweet tooth, relishing anything sugary, especially his mom’s cooking!!! And he delighted chocolate and vanilla twists from Fred’s!
Roger was a person who could light up a room effortlessly; connecting with children and making friends wherever he went. His infectious personality and caring nature were admired by many! He dedicated time to community service, always picking up cans and trash as he was riding his bicycle, re-enforcing the belief that it is important to give back. He was a talented roofer and loved to listen to music.
He is preceded in death by his father Roger Napper. He is survived by his mother Linda Hecker, his children Brandon Napper and Jamie Napper, his grandchildren Eric John Jr. and Paxton John, siblings Ronald and Rhonda, and countless nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Roger’s spirit and memorable saying is “ It is what it is”! will continue to resonate with all who knew him. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and kindness and he will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.
