Roger Willis Daymude

April 19, 1947 — December 2, 2021

Roger Willis Daymude, age 74, lifelong resident of Richwood, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Memorial Hospital of Union County in Marysville Ohio.  He was born in Marion Ohio to the late Benjamin and Marguerite Daymude.

A Richwood High School graduate, Roger went to Chicago Illinois and earned his HVAC degree.   He worked several years for Huber and Marion Power Shovel.  He became a Journeyman Electrician while working at Rockwell in Kenton Ohio. Roger started his own construction company in 1984 “Daymude Enterprises”. Later worked for National City Bank before retiring from the workforce.

He was an avid fan of Nascar.  He enjoyed bringing old trucksters back to life.  He was able to fix anything with his unique thinking and problem solving skills.  He also cherished his time in the mornings spent with his friends at Kelly’s Restaurant.

Survived by his son: Mark Daymude; daughter: Melissa (Matt) Acker; grandson, Austin Acker; former wife, Pat. Sister: Robin (Jim) Richards; and  Brother-In-Law: John Mayberry.  Nieces & Nephews: Little John (Karla) Mayberry; Teresa (Bob) Nichols; Cindy (Greg) Dove; Matt (Sandy) Mayberry; and Natalie (Phillip) Strawser. Great nieces, nephews and cousins.  Close friend, Carol O’Banion and self appointed granddaughter, Gracie Brumfield.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and sister Jennie Sue Mayberry.
