Robert Dean Long

Robert Dean Long went home to the Lord on Friday, August 24, 2018. He was born on February 27, 1939 in Meeker, Ohio to Lyman and Isabelle Cottrill Long.

He is survived by his daughter Tiffany (Dana) Savage, grandson and very best friend Layne Kelder, granddaughter, Landrey Kelder. Sisters Thelma (Orley) Fout, Marilyn Jolley, Shirley (Don) VanDorn, Joyce Long and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lyman and Isabelle, and brother, James Long.

Bob cherished his family and spent time with them as often as he could. His four sisters often found themselves in his company on a regular basis. He enjoyed a free meal and supplied his many nieces and nephews with candy, silly stories, goofy pranks and an unlimited supply of fun. Bob was a HUGE kid at heart.

Bob was also a very talented drawer and wood carver. He could free hand just about anything with impeccable accuracy. He loved riding his scooter, playing Xbox and inhaling White Castle.

In his final days, Bob was surrounded by numerous family members who loved him dearly and watched as he was baptized.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
