Pauline Louise King, 77, of Marion, Ohio passed away December 5, 2023, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Curtis and Goldie (Davis) Priddy on September 16, 1946, in Leon, West Virginia. Pauline was the oldest of six children. She married Donald King and relocated to Marion, Ohio for his work. After their divorce, Pauline stayed in Marion raising her children.
Pauline worked for Jack’s Pawn Shop for 24 years and later owned her own pawn shop, Heritage Gold & Pawn, with her son Todd. Pauline was very active in the Marion City Softball League. She played softball for many years, as well as keeping score for different leagues.
Pauline has a strong faith and was very dedicated to her church, Genesis. Family was everything to Pauline. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her favorite quote was by Barbara Bush “At the end of your life, you will never regret not having not passed one more test, not winning one more verdict, or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.”
Pauline is survived by her sons Dan (Lori Pennington) King and Todd (Alexis) King, and her daughter Vicky (Brian Tubbs) King of Marion; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren along with one on the way; brothers Denver Priddy, Donald Wayne (Patti) Priddy, and sister Pat Walsh along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents Goldie (Davis) Priddy and Curtis Priddy; brothers Delmar and Homer Priddy, and her granddaughter Tiffany King.
