Mary "Betty" Rose

Mary E. "Betty" Rose, age 92, of Marion passed away March 24, 2014 at Marion Manor Nursing Center. Betty was born on July 21, 1921 in Chesterville, Ohio to Robert and Bertha Dunn and was the last remaining of ten siblings. She married Harold Rose and was married for 45 years before he preceded her in death. During WWII, Betty was a "Rosie the Riveter" and following that, went to school in Columbus to become a beautician practicing in Mt. Vernon. She and Harold had lived in Englewood, Florida for 30 years until her failing health caused her to return to Ohio. Her favorite activities were shopping and listening to Audio Books. In keeping with Betty's wishes, there will be no funeral services observed. She wished to be cremated and be buried in Florida next to her husband.
