Mary Jessie

Mary (Onie) Jessie, 92, of Marion OH, passed away peacefully with her family on November 30, 2023 at The Wyndmoor of Marion.

She was born on October 22, 1931 to Earl and Edna Lane (Plotner) in Marion, OH.

Mary worked at Frank Brothers, State Theater and home healthcare up into her eighties. She was always on the go, never staying home. She was a wonderful person, always caring and would do anything for anyone before she would do anything for herself. If you needed someone to talk to, she would always be there to listen and never judged you. She enjoyed watching old shows: Bonanza, Gunsmoke, and country music shows on Friday and Saturday nights, and going to eat every Wednesday night at White Lily Church. She was the best and will be missed dearly.

She was united in marriage to William (Bill) Jessie who preceded her in death in 1967.

Surviving are her two children, Shannon Jessie and Debbie Baker; brother Floyd (Butch) Lane; four grandkids; several great grandkids and great-great grandkids.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by brothers Budd, Bobby, Gerald, and Donnie; and sisters Pearl, Nellie, Esther, Jean, Evelyn (sis).
