Marvis Floriene Haines

Mrs. M. Floriene Haines, age 97, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2016 at Marion Manor Care Center. Mrs. Haines was born in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl D. and M. Katherine (Pine) Watts. She was formerly married to the late Mr. Homer M. Haines of Tallahassee, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her brothers;  Roy Watts and Harry Watts of Marion and Donald Watts of Indian Harbor Beach, Florida. She is survived by her daughter; Lynn Haines, formerly of Evergreen, Colorado, her niece; Cathy Watts of Maumee and 5 nephews; Ronald and Gary Watts of Indian Harbor Beach, Florida and Kirby, Marden and Dolph Watts of Marion. Floriene graduated in 1936 from Harding High School and after, from Marion Business College. She retired from B.F.Goodrich in 1981 and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Lydia Chapter Order of Eastern Star and the Theosophical Society of America. In keeping with Floriene’s wishes, no visiting hours or funeral services will be held. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Area Humane Society or the Food Pantry at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
