Marilyn Ann Creager, 89, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 24, 2025.
She was born on November 2, 1935 to George and Lola Fetter in Marion, Ohio. She graduated from Harding High School in 1953.
Marilyn married Jim Creager on November 19, 1955, and together they shared just shy of seventy years of happiness. They loved taking trips to Florida with their long-time friends, the Baldauf's. They would pile nine family members into a station wagon and be on their way together. Marilyn let Jim hold her hand the very first time he walked her home from class, and the rest was history.
She was a devoted grandmother to her two grandsons, always taking them on fun adventures like visiting the zoo or feeding the ducks. At times their visits would last up to a week. Marilyn raised her two daughters with love and good cooking. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran church, and she loved building on her relationship with her Heavenly Father. She had a kind heart and was a lover of dogs and black licorice jelly beans.
She gifted her loved ones with too many good times to count, and her memory will be cherished forever.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents George and Lola Fetter; parents-in-law James and Pauline Creager; brother Edward (Ardith) Fetter; sister Delores (Robert) Kossler; daughter Lisa Creager; brother-in-law Richard Creager; sisters-in-law Jackie (Troy) Evans and Carolyn (Richard) Haines; and niece Julie Cummings.
She is survived by her beloved husband Jim Creager; daughter Sharon (Jeff) Owen; grandchildren Bryan Rand, Bradley Rand, and Andrew Robinson; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
