Judy Kay Hughes

On Sunday September 18, 2022 Judy K Hughes passed away peacefully at home.

Judy was born in Richwood, Ohio on June 5, 1947 to the late Weaver Daily and Mildred Hendrickson. She attended Richwood School as well as pursued her Realtor License after retiring.

Judy is survived by her husband of 57 years Roy Albert Hughes, their sons Steven M ( Becky) Hughes, Jay (Roy Albert Jr) Hughes, Grandchildren Jocelynn B ( Katie ) Hughes, Jacob Patrick,  Great grandchildren Dylan Averi and Kamden Brynn Hughes. Sisters Karen ( Blanchard) Moore and Betty Dailey as well as beloved sister and brother in laws, and  nieces and nephews.

If you had ever met Judy you would most certainly know her love of roses. She was attracted to every single one, but favorites being red and pink. Judy had many hobbies and loved to keep busy;  porcelain doll collecting, painting, bowling, playing cards, classic car shows  and her ultimate favorite hobby: Shopping.

Most importantly she loved spending time and doing things with her boys and grandchildren. While Jocelynn was growing up Judy was her partner in crime. If there was a new beanie baby coming out……Judy would be in line at McDonalds to get the happy meals. A new holiday barbie?  You guessed it first in line.  She would spend weeks with Jay running around and visiting friends ( and the occasional party ).  She loved to go camping with Steve and went on several vacations as well with his family.

Services will be held at Edwards Funeral Service,  Hughes - Allen Chapel 318 Mt Vernon Ave Marion OH 43302.   Calling hours  will be from 6pm to 8 pm on Thursday September 22nd and Funeral service on Friday September 23rd at 11 am with burial to follow at Claibourne Cemetery.
