Jerome Abdul Douglas

Jerome Abdul Douglas was born on February 9, 1979. He passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2024, at age 45. Jerome was born to mother, Gail Douglas and father, the late Robert Wilson.

Jerome (aka) Popa loved his family and was fiercely protective of each family member. He loved his dogs, music, and cars. Popa brought his first car at the age of 14 and his mother didn’t know about it until he pulled up at home bumping his music.

Jerome leaves behind his mother, Gail, daughters Nikiya and Karlise Owens, and son Jerome Douglas, Jr., sisters Lillian Jones, Amy Scott and Holly Wilson. Grandchildren: Xayvion, Josephine, Courtlyn, and Karon. Uncles: Raymond Scott, Anthony Cochran, and Michael Hardin. Jerome also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Francine Freeman and Sean Rogers, his special cousins Allen (Tank) Creagh, and Germain Douglas, Grandma Gladys Hardin, and Godmother – Betty Flewellen.

Jerome is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Lamarr and Ethel Cochran, his dad Marvel Douglas, his son Jamear Douglas, and grandson Garret Cole, uncles, LaVaughn, Grady, Clifford, and Lloyd Cochran, aunts Shirley Kline and Janice Bovian, his nephew Lamarr Cochran, and the mother of his children Breeze Owens.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt Thank You to everyone that has sent dinners, kept them in their prayers, and for their visits.

Service will be held at: Edwards Funeral Home 318 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Marion, Ohio 43302. September 27, 2024. The family needs to arrive at 1:30 pm. Visitation is from 2:00 PM- 3:00 PM and the service starts at 3 PM.
