Jennie Louise (Showers) Martin

Jennie Louise (Showers) Martin, formerly of Marion, OH, age 97, passed away on July 27, 2022, in Marysville. She was born on March 01, 1925, to the late James and Orpha (Thompson) Showers in Marion, OH.

Jennie was a cook at River Valley School District for many years. She was loved by everyone, and made friends very easily. She loved spending time with her family. Jennie was a proud mother of 4 veterans and a wife of a WWII veteran.

She is survived by her children; Larry (Kathy) Martin, Overland Park, Kansas; Randy Martin, Canal Winchester; Beverly (Terry) Kreis, Bucyrus; Marsha (Jeff) Snare, Findlay; Carol (Terry) Bray, Cincinnati; Rita (Leo) Webber, Galion; Christine (Joe) Martin, Marion; and Charlotte Sepeda, Marysville; daughter-in-law Kay Martin, Lantana, Texas, 26 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert C. Martin, 2 sons Marvin and Stephen Martin, son-in-law Jesse Sepeda, 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be held on Monday August 01, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Edwards Funeral Service 318 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion, OH 43302, with a service to start at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joe Stafford officiating. Burial to follow at Caledonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to ProMedica Hospice 685 Delaware Ave., S. 300, Marion, OH 43302.
