Jeffery Scott Weisenberger

Jeffery Scott Weisenberger, age 35, passed away on Saturday January 25, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 04, 1984 in Covington, KY to Terry J. Weisenberger and Ellen B. (Crawford) Weisenberger. After high school he attained his GED while working. And after high school Jeffery married Crystal Watts. Jeffery was a cook by vocation, and many could tell stories of the items he could make.

He was one who loved music. Jeffery was self-taught in playing the guitar, drums, and keyboard. Anyone who was willing to learn to play though, he was willing to teach. Jeffery also loved cooking - he especially loved his last cooking job at the Marion Country Club. He was also known of his love for his friends and family, as well as being an animal lover.

Jeffery is survived by his parents Terry Weisenberger and Ellen Crawford, his wife Crystal, his son Quinton L. Weisenberger; his brother Anthony R. Weisenberger; and his sisters Misty L. (Nick) Lowry, and Candace D. Weisenberger.  All his family and friends will have a hole in their hearts with his passing.

My name is Ricky Heath, and I met Jeff in 2014 when he came by my neighbor’s house. We’ve been friends ever since. Jeff was, and still is, the best human being I’ve ever known.
Jeffery Scott Weisenberger was born October 4, 1984 to Terry and Ellen Weisenberger in Covington Ky and later moving to Marion. Jeff was a brother to three siblings, Misty, Candace and Anthony. He loved his family very much and would do anything to help them out.
Jeff went to Harding High School from 2000 to 2004. While in high school, he started dating a friend he’d known since 7th grade, Crystal Watts. After seven years together, they were married. In 2014, Jeff received the miracle of his life…his son, Quinton. Jeff loved his son more than I’ve ever seen anyone love a child. He spent as much time with him as he could. Jeff would spoil him with toys and ice cream, taking him bowling or to the movies…making the most of the time he had with him. He was even teaching Quinton to play the drums, something I hope that Quinton keeps practicing in the future.

Jeff loved to cook. He loved whipping up new creations and sharing what he had made. He would come up with new recipes when we worked here at the Country Club, and his new creations, though not always my taste (picky eater here), were always popular.

He was a great friend to me. I would tell him something going on in my life, and he would give me a big laugh, tell me a joke, and let me know that everything was going to be okay. He helped me to get a job when I needed one, and he helped me to keep that job when I didn’t think I could keep going. Jeff understood me and my moods in a way few others ever have. He was patient with me, and that is a kindness I could never repay. Jeff and I shared a love of music. He had a guitar, and he would let me borrow it sometimes to practice. Then, I got a guitar, and I let him borrow it as much as he wanted. He was a self-taught musician, but his talent overshadowed his lack of training. We loved to have jam sessions and create songs together.
I am confident that I will never meet a better man or a better friend, than Jeff Weisenberger I know he was beloved by his family, his friends, and his work family. I loved him too. And I know he loved all of us.

Jeff, I think about you every day, and I will miss you every day. We all will."

The family is inviting friends and family to come honor Jeffery's memory on Tuesday February 4, 2020 at the Edwards Funeral Service, 318 Mt. Vernon Ave from 3 PM - 5 PM.
