Janis K. Bailey

Janis K. Bailey, passed away on February 11, 2023, at ProMedica Skilled Nursing in Marion, Ohio. She was born on October 23, 1941, to the late Joseph and Margaret Fox of Prospect, Ohio. She was a graduate of LaRue High School. Upon moving back to Marion, she attended Cornerstone Alliance Church.

She married Larry R. Bailey on March 1, 1969. They were avid NASCAR fans and loved to travel to the many tracks to watch the races in person, and enjoyed their cottage in Marble Head, Ohio until she moved back to Marion to be near family.

She is preceded in death by her husband Larry R. Bailey; parents Joseph and Margaret Fox; sister Phyllis Beltz; Kathleen Beltz Blackburn; as well as others in the Bailey family.

She is survived by her great niece Sarah (Chad) Redman and their children Justin and Kylie who were constant care takers to her since moving back to Marion, Ohio. Also survived by Philip (Deb) Beltz and their children; Vernon (Stacie) Beltz and their children; Doug (Jeni) Blackburn and their children; Howard (Marilyn) Bailey; Joan Cartmill; and others in the Bailey family.

A graveside service will be at Claibourne Cemetery in Richwood, Ohio at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 20, 2023.
