Janice Helen Miller

Janice Helen Miller, 77, of Marion, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025.

She was born on a leap year, February 29, 1948, to James and Pearl Harris in Marion, Ohio.

Janice married Harold Johnson in January of 1967 and enjoyed twenty years together until his death in 1987.

She remarried Terry Miller in April of 1999, and they were together until he passed away in February of 2013. One of her fondest memories was meeting Terry at the nursing home and being courted by him.

Raised in her birthplace of Marion, Janice devoted her life to caring for others both at work and at home. As a dedicated nursing assistant, she provided compassionate care to countless individuals and made a profound impact with her gentle kindness and unwavering dedication. Janice was also a devoted homemaker, enriching the lives of her family with love, warmth, and tireless nurturing.

She loved talking and joking around. Janice was a feisty and endearing woman who was beloved by all who met her. She had a green thumb and a beautiful garden. Whenever anyone in the family had a problem, Janice was always there, and she always made everything better. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and she always found joy in giving to others. Janice was an avid reader and could often be found reading countless mystery novels. Her legacy is one of love, service, and compassion, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents James and Pearl Harris, late husband Harold Johnson, late husband Terry Miller, and great-great grandson Xavier Music.

She is survived by her children Scott Johnson, Amy Johnson, Kathleen Johnson, Terry Johnson, and Jacinda Hagerman; brothers James Harris and David Savage; sister Paula James; grandchildren Victoria, Melissa, Ryan, Crystal, Alex, Andre, Kira, David, Kimberly, Nicholas, Brittany, Shayla, and Trinity; great-grandchildren Alexia, Drake, Sam, Noah, Brooke, Johnny, Thackery, Caspian, Rosalia, Alex, Paisley, Maverick, and Riker; cousin Marty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
