Janet Lynn (Sechler) Lippert went to be with the Lord suddenly on August 5, 2024. She was born April 4, 1948, to Arthur J. Sechler & Carol June Sechler in Pittsburg, PA.
On April 11, 1970, she married the love of her life David Cass Lippert in Cambridge, Ohio.
One word that comes to mind is giving. That word describes her love language best. Whether she was doing one of her many outreach projects throughout her life, making blessing boxes, helping the less fortunate, etc. She loved to give and bring smiles to everyone. Janet's faith was the center of her life. She was a caretaker, whether foster care, caring for the sick, etc. She did the "hard stuff" most wouldn't do. She was a servant of Christ. As a kid, her sister would always make her pray for anything that bothered her as she believed she had a direct line to God. Years ago, she would be at her ceramic shop, or her and Dave's village store they owned, bringing people together.
After moving to Marion in 1994, they did foster care for many children. It became their passion to do this while Dave was pastoring a church. They loved it so much that when they stumbled upon three lost souls in 1998, she did her best to give them a mother figure. On August 20th, 2000, she became a mother again as they adopted the three boys and gave them a family. She always said if she could save just one, then it would be worth it.
Cooking wasn't her strong suit. Well, she cooked great if she remembered her timer! She was well known for her flat-blacks (burnt cookies) and made them every year for her dad for Christmas. It became an on-going joke with the family, and she took it like a champ!
She enjoyed crafts, growing succulents, bird watching, Amish country, time with family and friends, and sleepovers with the grandkids. They would always sneak into her snack cabinet when they thought she wasn't looking, and she always made sure it was full for them to do so.
To know Janet was to love her. She was outgoing, funny, loving, and such a kind soul.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur J. & Carol June Sechler; grandparents Earl & Hilda Ecoff; and grandson Evan Williams.
She is survived by David C. Lippert (Spouse); Siblings, Linda (Jay) Atkinson and David Sechler; Children Wendy J. Lippert, Jill Lippert, Future Son-in-law Raymond L.
