Jane Lynn Tolle, a beloved member of the Marion community, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at the age of 64.
She was born on August 20, 1960 to Ruth Maggs Elliott in Marion, Ohio, a town she called home all her life. Known for her warm heart and vivacious spirit, Jane touched the lives of many with her kindness, humor, and love for life. She graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1978. She was baptized at Family Life Church, where she attended.
After high school, Jane embarked on a fulfilling career at Whirlpool, dedicating over ten years to the company. Her strong work ethic and dedication were evident in all she undertook. Beyond her professional life, Jane was a woman of many passions. Her creativity shone through her love for ceramics, macramé, and various crafts. Jane loved bowling, and spent some time playing on a league. She was loving, caring, and strong. She had a strong will and fiercely loved her family. On Sundays, you could find her with her sisters sharing a special weekly meal. She loved dry beef gravy, and always had some peppermint gum with her. Jane loved going to her grandmother’s house for corn beef hash and bread pudding. She was rock n’ roll through and through, and is fondly remembered dancing on the table to Poison songs and tunes of the 80s. Jane loved Nascar and was an avid fan of the Buckeyes, Bengals, and the Miami Dolphins. Her true joy, however, was spending cherished moments with her beloved grandson, taking him out to eat or out to the movies whenever she could.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother Reva Felt and her father Bob Maggs.
She is survived by her son Matthew (Lizzy) Hersman; grandson Rylan James Hersman; mother Ruth Maggs Elliott; sisters Jill Dineen and Joyce and Cara Allen; chosen sister Cathy Garver; favorite uncle Neil (Pheobe) Raymond; niece, Amber Fetter; nephew, Kyle Dineen; significant other of 15 years, Martin Seiter; and many, many friends.
In our hearts, Jane Lynn Tolle's spirit will forever remain, with echoes of laughter, joy, and rock 'n' roll in every corner of our lives. May she rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations towards the American Cancer Society or towards a charity of choice.
The family would like to thank the Tranquility Hospice of Delaware for taking exceptional care of Jane.
