James Allen Pfleider

James Allen Pfleider went to be with the lord on June 11, 2023, after a long-fought battle with end stage kidney disease. Jim was born November 29, 1945, to John and Charlene (McKenzie) Pfleider.  He graduated from Elgin High school in 1965 and  spent 38 years as a route salesman for Frito Lay.  He will forever be remembered as the Chip Man.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years Dorothy Pfleider and his two children Lee Ann and Michael, his sister-in-law Jesslyn Pfleider, brother-in-law Earl (Linda) Hornbeck, his nephews Kenneth Pfleider (Bill), John Pfleider, Bryan Conley, Danny Conley, nieces Ruth Jordan (Sis), Mary (Jerry) Mitchell, K Marie Balis, Barbara (John) Van Etten, Marsha Stringer, Christa (Dierks) Simmons, and many great nieces and nephews. As well as his best friend and neighbor of 70 plus year Robert (Ann) Handley.

Jim is proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Ruth Hornbeck, brothers Kenneth and Robert Pfleider, nephew Christopher Hornbeck, niece Stephanie Sons, great nephews Keith Skaggs, Jarred Young, Joshua Lee, and Lincoln Mitchell.

His family takes solace in knowing he has the best seats to watch all of the Browns and Guardians games and is in heaven playing cards and fishing with his family that passed before him.

Memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation and Meeker United Methodist Church in James’ honor.
