James Allen Thomas

James (Jimbo) Allen Thomas, 52, passed away Saturday August 14,2021 at his home in Marion, Ohio. He was born in Marion March 21, 1969, to Lynn and Carolyn (Hughes) Thomas. He attended Elgin and Tri-Rivers Schools.

Jim married Katrina Doss November 13,1987 in Larue, Ohio. They had a daughter, Tiffany Rose of Warren, Ohio who survives. Jim will be cherished forever by his loving spouse Mamie McCoy who survives. Also surviving is his step-father Richard Gould of Marion, grandson Brycen Hardy of Warren, Ohio, parents Lynn and Connie Thomas of Marion, and siblings: Trina Beard of West Jefferson, Christopher Thomas of Marion, Beth Larick of Marion, and Melanie Hickman-Sampedro of Elvillar, Spain.  Jimbo was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn (Hughes) Gould.

Jim was a roofer in his younger years and operated JT Mowing lawn services. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing drums, and followed NASCAR and his OSU Buckeyes.

Service and viewing will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 25 East Water St., Prospect, Ohio on Tuesday August 24. Viewing will be from 10:00-12:00. The service will be at noon with a meal following. Pastor Scott Schnapp will officiate the service. Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Chapel is honored to be serving the family.
