Jamear Anthony Douglas, 17, of Marion passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20, 2022. He was born October 11, 2004, in Marion, Ohio to Jerome Douglas, Sr. and Fransenie Freeman. He was a senior at Marion Harding High School, class of 2023.
Jamear loved to play basketball with his friends and loved his time with his brothers and sisters. Jamear was a member of Logos Christian Ministries where he had recently rededicated his life to Christ. He was a smart young man and was excited for his last year of high school and was looking forward to his future.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his brothers Ja’Shaun Pender, Jerome Douglas and Jaunte Freeman, his sisters Jaleah Freeman, Karlise Owens and Nikaya Owens, grandparents Calvin (Dina) Freeman, Gail Douglas all of Marion and Diane Freeman of Lima. He also leaves two special ladies, Dora Evans, and Yvonne Weddington, Aunts, Lillian Jones, Amy Scott and Raziah Davis, Uncles, Juan Freeman, Dante Freeman, Ernest Freeman, Jr., Michael Freeman, Sr., Reno Wesley and William Davis, Jr., two nieces, three nephews and a host of friends.
Jamear was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal great-grandparents, one nephew, grandfather, Marvel Douglas and special cousin, LaMarr Cochran. Jamear Anthony Douglas will be sorely missed by all who loved him. Gone too soon but never forgotten
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Edwards Funeral Service, 318 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Marion, Ohio 43302 from 6pm-8pm. Service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Logos Christian Ministries, 582 Lee Street, Marion, Ohio 43302 at 11am.
