Gene William Creighton II

Gene W Creighton II (Billy), age 50, of Malta, Ohio, passed from his earthly body on December 30, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by the love of his family. We take great comfort in knowing he is finally pain free.

Gene was born on February 11, 1971, in Findlay Ohio to the late Gene and Lucille Creighton. He was the youngest of five children. Gene had the spirit of a wanderer and could rest his head anywhere. He loved to build and create. He was a “jack of all trades”. Gene worked for Swift as a driver/trainer allowing him to continue to travel. He graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2012 earning his Associate’s degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. He was a skilled carpenter, auto mechanic, aviation mechanic, and entrepreneur. He loved helping others less fortunate than himself and would truly give the shirt off his back to a stranger. His children were his greatest delight. He was so very proud of their accomplishments and the amazing adult each one has become.​

Left to cherish his memory are his three children Gene W Creighton III (Kaleigh Swalley), Rachel Creighton, Elizabeth Creighton (Wesley Jackson). His sisters Annetta Broyles, Roberta Leeper, and Oleta Tkadlec, and many nieces and nephews. Also, his faithful dog Mitsy.

The family has chosen to have a Celebration of Life gathering at a later date.
