Frankie L. Byrd

Frankie Lee Byrd, age 70, of Marion peacefully passed away on July 7, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital of Dublin, Ohio. She was born June 14, 1945, the third child of Leo and Sofronia Johnson. Frankie was preceded in death by her parents; Leo and Sofronia Johnson, one son; Frank Byrd III and one daughter; Sofronia Kaye Byrd, four siblings; Essie Walker, Johnnie Johnson, Henry Johnson and Del Rita Cohen. She is survived by her siblings; Leo (Mary Catherine ) Johnson, Bonnie Williams, Jack (Lois) Johnson, Leon (Marilyn Peters) and Hockless Johnson, her children; Mildred Dixon and Michael Johnson of Downingtown, PA, M. Renay Troutman of Columbus and Monique Byrd of Santa Monica, CA, one step daughter; Frankie Venee Jackson of Detroit, Michigan and a host of family and friends. Frankie was employed at Whirlpool Corporation for 38 years. She truly lived life to the fullest by spreading the gospel and through the simple pleasures of life: cooking, gardening, baking, canning, delivering goody trays and meals to loved ones and giving out our daily bread inspirational booklets. Touched by the Holy Spirit, Frankie had an awesome ability to reach people in a deep and positive way through scripture and with prayer. All whose lives have been touched by Frankie are invited to the Victory In Truth Ministries, State Route #4 in Bucyrus on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10AM to greet her family followed by a Homecoming Celebration and welcoming of Frankie into the Kingdom of Heaven! Burial will follow in the Marion Cemetery.
