Donald Verland Drake Sr.

Donald Verland Drake Sr., age 78, of Meadville, Pennsylvania and formerly of Marion passed away Friday morning at Marion General Hospital’s emergency room. Donald was born in Marion on January 31, 1938 to Carl Drake Sr. and Cleo (Smith) Drake. He had worked as a mechanic for both the Erie-Lackawanna and Conrail railroads. Donald was preceded in death by a son; Donald Verland Drake Jr., 3 brothers; Clifford, Floyd and Raymond, 2 sisters; Virginia Wells and Lois Drake and a grandson; Gabriel Brown. He is survived by his son; Timothy Drake Sr. and his daughter; Shelly (Jeff) Brown, both of Marion, a brother; Carl (Mildred) Drake Jr., 3 grandchildren; Timothy (Edie) Drake Jr., Cody Drake and Haley Drake, 2 great-grandchildren; Kayden Drake and Zoe Brown and a foster brother; Jim Casperson.
