Debra Rose Smith

Debra R. Smith (Cudd) joined the Lord September 20, 2021. She was at peace, surrounded by family. Debra was beautiful inside and out. Everyone who knew Debra liked her, but most loved her. When in her presence, she had a way of making everyone feel special, and comforted. She always stayed positive, when you asked her "how are you," no matter the situation, she would always say "I'm blessed." She enjoyed spending time with her family, sports, and of course - shopping. Her cooking was like no other, family dinners were always above and beyond amazing for everyone when she was in the kitchen. While attending her grandchildren's sporting events, she always made her presence known. She was everyone's number one fan.

Debra was a nurse and loved caring for people. She would treat her patients like members of her own family. It was the perfect career for someone who loved people as much as she did.

She loved the Lord and stayed strong in her faith. We can find comfort knowing she is free of pain with Him.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Jack, her children Tracy (Keith) Butler,  Toby (Laura) Smith, and Amy Smith, her grandchildren Amanda (Jonathan) Thrush, Dominic Smith, Breanna (Joshua) Brown, Alec Smith, Jack Amos, Nicholas Hopkins, Ahlexys Hopkins, and Marissa Smith. Her great grandchildren Leyton, Preston, Brennan, Ellie, Lyla, Elijah, Asher, Emerson, Harper, Roman, Destiny and Jace. Her brother, Bruce (Lisa) Cudd, John Cudd, sister Lori Grant, and sister-in-law Pam Cudd. She also had several nieces and nephews she loved dearly as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents Phyllis and Robert Cudd, her son Junior, and siblings Linda, Terry, and Tommy.

Calling Hours will be Friday September 24, 2021 from 2PM – 4PM and 6PM – 8PM at Edwards Funeral Service, Hughes-Allen Chapel, 318 Mt. Vernon Ave, Marion with a Funeral Service on Saturday morning, September 25th at 10AM. Interment Grand Prairie Cemetery
