Deborah Sue (Augenstein) Brown of Marion, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 20th. Debbie was born March 14th, 1970 in Tuscan Arizona, to Fayetta and Harry Augenstein. On August 4th, 1990 she married David A. Brown and they had two daughters. Debbie enjoyed caring for others and became an STNA while in high school. After graduation she became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1990. After many years of practicing as an LPN, she returned to school and completed her Registered Nursing Degree. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the O.R. and was a member of the first heart team at Marion General Hospital, with recognition of this accomplishment on billboards and newspaper advertising. She then went on to serve as a Director of Nursing for a Post acute care facility before returning to private duty. Debbie was very compassionate towards others and would help anyone in need. She had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. Anyone who knew Debbie, knew she loved her family deeply and fiercely. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Brown, her daughters Amanda (Colton) Daily, Audrey (William) Whittaker, her grandchildren, Blake and Carter, her mother Fayetta Augenstein, her sister Regina Pucci, her niece Samantha (Jimmy McGinnis) Oliver, and nephew Adam (Darian Layne) Whitaker.
She is preceded in death by her father Harry Augenstein.
There will be a celebration of life for Debbie on Friday, January 29th, 5pm-7pm at 2784 Prospect Upper Sandusky Road S, Marion Ohio 43302.
Debbie always went out of her way to make sure no one went hungry. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local food bank.
