Chuck E. Davidson, of Marion, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 23, 2025.

He was born on August 26th, 1946 to William Davidson and Macie Davidson (Firstenberger) in Elktown, Maryland. He joined the United States Army in 1963 and served our country in Vietnam as an EOD, bravely disarming explosives during the war.

Chuck married Cynthia Moore on April 18, 2023, but they were together since 1995 and shared thirty years of loving partnership. They shared a love of motorcycles, and spent time riding Harleys together. Their favorite places to ride were the Tennessee area, along with Canada and Michigan. Early on, they rode up to Port Clinton and camped out. They also enjoyed exploring Amish country together.

He was the former president of the Delaware Gold Wing Road Riders, and he enjoyed anything having to do with the veterans. He participated in the Honor Flight to see the monuments in Washington, DC. He had even decorated a trailer that they pulled in parades sometimes that was completely decorated in veterans decor.

Chuck had some special friends who were also Vietnam veterans: Bob Coy, Kenny Davenport, and many more. Another close friend was Bill Crist. They were often organizing veterans events at local businesses. He had two special pets: Harley, an English bulldog; and Eli, a bichon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Davidson and Macie Firstenberger; stepfather Kenny Firstenberger; close friends Jim Stults, Jim Ward, and Chuck and Rose Wood; parents-in-law Harold and Pat Williams; brother-in-law Bernie McKee; and other family members.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Cindy; daughter Brandie (Aaron) Davidson; stepson Shawn (Carolyn) Morris; adopted daughter Stacie (Scott) Hines; sisters Linda (Richard) Domine and Beth (Keith) McDaniel; stepbrother Rick (Karen) Firstenberger; sister-in-law Linda McKee; close friends Kathy Stults, and Jeff and Polly Henry; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and his faithful pet, Prince.
