Carol A Gilbert

Carol A. Gilbert, 59, of Marion fought the good fight and went to her Lord on April 17, 2020. She was born to the late Hobart and Rosie S. (Smith) Adams Montgomery on July 25, 1960. She graduated from Marion Harding High School. Carol worked in Housekeeping most recently before becoming disabled. She loved her family and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Gilbert; her mother and father; her brother Eddie Montgomery; her sons John Jr., and Terry; and her daughter Sherry.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sons Michael (Sara), and James (Christi); her daughters Melody, Ruth (Sam) Gullett, and Carolyn (Scott) Griffith; her grandchildren Emily Jr., Lexi, Kelsey, Joslyn, Kimberly, Scott Jr, Jennifer Crabtree, and April Swartz.; and her great grandchildren Madison, Kaden, Carter, Sylas, Brysen, and Elley.

Family will have a private ceremony on Friday, April 24, from 10 AM to 12 noon at Edwards Funeral Service, 318 Mt. Vernon Ave., Marion. Burial will be at Grand Prairie Cemetery at Brush Ridge.
