Carl Houston Sexton

Carl Sexton, age 81, of Marion, Ohio passed away on Monday April 25, 2022, at Marion General Hospital. He was born on July 19, 1940 in Carter, KY to the late James and Hazzie (Williams) Sexton. On February 06, 1958, he married Marilyn (Barrett) Sexton in Carter, KY.

Back in the mid 1950's he made Marion, OH his home. He worked for Standard Oil, then worked some road construction until he started working at Clark Metal Products on February 01, 1970 and worked there for 30 years to the day of hire.

He enjoyed being outside and gardening, plus he enjoyed listening to bluegrass and country music. He loved going to family get togethers.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Steven Sexton, sisters Marge (Sexton) Cooper, Francis (Sexton) Smooh, Nellie (Sexton) Watt, brothers William Sexton and Jimmy Sexton.

Carl is survived by son James Sexton of Marion, sisters Pauline (Sexton) Parker of Wyandot, Ohio and Laura (Sexton) Lewis of Carter, KY, granddaughter Stephanie (Sexton) Shoemaker of Marion, two great grandchildren, four step grand children and several step great grandchildren. Carl had many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
