Brenda Lee Hudnell

Brenda Lee Hudnell, 62, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2023. She fought a hard battle with cancer for 3 years. No matter what she was going through she did it with a smile on her face and kindness for those who cared for her.

She was born on July 28, 1961, in Marion, Ohio. The youngest of 5 children born to Levi Henry Miley and Gladys Powelson Miley. She graduated from Harding High in 1978.

She worked for nursing homes in Marion as the Activites Director. She retired last year from Marion Manor with over 20 years of service. She was a devout Christian. She held Bible study in her home for years. She was a member of Corner Street Church in Marion. She volunteered for the Leapin Outreach Center. She loved traveling to Amish country and Bronson, Missouri. She collected Precious Moment figurines and loved the color purple. She loved working with flowers; whether making arrangements at Marion Manor or brightening up the landscape at her home.

She is preceded in death by her spouse Mike Hudnell, and her parents.

She is survived by two half-brothers, Bob (Joyce) Everly and Walter (Nancy) Everly; two sisters Carol (Jerry) Clark and Pamela (Joe) Harkless; 6 nieces and 4 nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Brenda requested for donations to be made to the Marion County Humane Society, Leapin Ministries, and Lutheran Social Services.

There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, January 2 at 11:00 a.m. in New Bloomington, Agosta Cemetery.
