Marion – Bonnie Faye Thacker, age 70 of Marion, died late Tuesday evening at Marion General Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1952 in Garner, Kentucky to the late Lindsey and Alice (Slone) Slone.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter Samantha Lynn Thacker, sisters: Avenell (Ron) Gayheart, Betty (Jim deceased) Norris, Donna (Paul) Miller, brothers: Ken (Brenda) Sloan, Phillip Slone, Edward (Sandy) Sloan, thirteen nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and brother-in-law she was also preceded by her brother Dean Slone.
She loved bowling, crossword puzzles and watching her soap operas.
Bonnie devoted her life to caring for her Down Syndrome daughter.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm Friday August 26, 2022 until 10:00 am Saturday August 27, 2022 at the Good Faith Baptist Church, 706 East Mark Street, Marion, Ohio 43302 where services will be held immediately following the visitation. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Arrangements for Bonnie Faye Thacker have been entrusted to the Edwards Funeral Service Hughes-Allen Chapel 318 Mt Vernon Avenue, Marion, Ohio 43302.
