Bonnie Burns, 73, of Marion, Ohio passed away March 5, 2025. She was born on November 2, 1951, to Francis and Sally (Laneta) Roush.

Bonnie graduated from Harding High School in 1970 and then attended Columbus State University. During her life, Bonnie worked at Swink Advertising, Marion Power Shovel, Fairfield Engineering, and Smith Clinic/Med Center Hospital. Bonnie retired in 2013 from Smith Clinic/Med Center Hospital after 23 years of service.

She married Dennis Burns in 1981. Throughout their 43 years of marriage, Dennis and Bonnie enjoyed traveling with trips to the Caribbean, Alaska, Scotland, Hawaii, yearly camping excursions to Texas, and numerous family vacations. Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. Her compassion to help touched all in her family at one time or another.

She was an active member with her church, Crosswood United Methodist; where her and Dennis would help with numerous events including movie nights and work camps.

Bonnie was an avid collector of many things including Hummels, Precious Moments and Beanie Babies. She enjoyed going to auctions and finding all kinds of unique items and antiques.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Sally (Laneta) Roush, her grandparents, Clarence and Mabel Bonnoront, and her brother John Roush.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis, her son Jason Mckinney (Wendi Foos), her stepson Ryan Burns (Tiffany Winslow), stepdaughter Karinda Davis (Randy Davis), and her brother Tom Roush (Lily).

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy; Connor Mckinney, Evan Mckinney, Riley Foos, Shyanne Burns, Cassidy Andrick (Justin Andrick), Wesley Burns, and Zach Burns, and her great granddaughter Lilian Andrick.

Her services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Crosswood United Methodist Church. Her visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with her funeral service starting at 12:00 PM with Pastor Josh Freshour officiating.
